Sabine CHERKI

Biography

Sabine, born in Marseille, France and now living just outsdie Paris, is a sculptor and painter who entices you with the diversity and the creativity in the poses she creates with her subjects. Her "Loulouttes" (which is a cute way of saying Little Girl in French) release their sensitivities through their humor. The shapes of the Loulouttes, generous and palpable in nature, give us a feeling of rediscovering our long lost childhood memories.

All of the emotions and themes of Sabine’s sculptures are found as well in her paintings. The Loulouttes, voluptuous in nature, also take on adult roles yet with a nod to our childhood. They can be at the beach or in Africa in a market place, but they are still always our Loulouttes.

Sabine’s work can be found in many private collections as well as in museums. She exposes in galleries throughout Europe.
